Discover Waldorf Hotels and Resorts.I worked with the team at Organic to redesign the Waldorf Astoria hotel website. This was a part of a much larger effort to completely redesign and rework all Hilton brand sites on a new custom-built backend and content management system. As a luxury brand, we wanted to incorporate large, beautiful photography to inspire guests, as well as give them easy access to the booking engine and tons of information about their hotel and destination. Additionally, this site was built with the iPad in mind as much as the common browser. Guests can flip through the pages or jump to different sections using the filmstrip as an alternative to the top navigation. Room for offers and special alerts is built into the pages and easy for the client’s marketing team to update themselves. The site also accommodates many international languages including Arabic and Chinese. A detailed 100 page style guide and spec document was delivered to the development team to help them stay as close to the intended templates as possible. I was part of the Picture Earth team that focused on bringing the exhibition to the United States. As the Art Director and with help from Creative Director Chantal Buard, I designed the entire outdoor advertising campaign, website (including build), online advertising units, captions and structural panel graphics, and many other miscellaneous elements that make up the look and feel of the event. The event was planned to premier in Bryant Park, New York City, 2009 but had to be postponed indefinitely due to budget cuts.
